MY STORY

Why Anchorage Tutors?

Hi, I’m Marva Hylton-Dennis, with over 20 years of experience in educational leadership as a teacher, tutor, and professional development facilitator.

I specialize in diagnostic teaching, assessment, and creating personalized learning plans.

With more than 25 years of teaching, I’ve helped students succeed in Primary Exit Exams, GCSE, GCE, and CXC exams.

From 2013 to 2021, I was a Regional Literacy Coordinator in Jamaica, where I contributed to raising the national literacy average to 85%.

Experienced in Jamaica and the UK, I provide online and in-person tutoring for all student levels, from primary through adult education, emphasizing confidence and goal attainment, including special needs support.

Additionally, I’m an author of children’s books that inspire hope and growth, including The Show-off Duck, The Lion Who Couldn’t Find His Roar, and The Ranger and I.
